I liked the most recent episode of House of the Dragon a lot but I'm officially disconnected from Rhaenyra as a character. She spent the entire season arguing for peace, restraint, and tact.
Nothing, and I repeat, changed since Luke died that would change that. I am open to Rhaenyra becoming a self-fulfilling doom loop prophecy leader but I need to understand how she gets there. She just read and felt confined and frustrated. I don't understand how we got to the point where she slaughtered dozens of smallfolk.
There were children in that group, where was the Rhaenyra from 6 episodes ago who demolished Daemon for killing a child? Where is the commentary that that person is gone? It just feels empty.
