Can babies die of hypothermia?

I like to play boreal forest maps, and they get cold in the winter. I assumed they had the same requirements as colonists, but then one time I decided to fuck around and at worst lose some baby digits. Imagine my surprise to find that babies can sleep all night at -20 F, and just have a small mood debuff!
Is my game bugged, or are babies immune?
