Also PSA: Don't make your "loading zone" where you put your animals in your main storage area. Especially when your boomalopes are injured.
Yea.... so I usually put my animals in the "loading zone" during fights. I won the fight but forgot to switch zones so my injured boomalopes waltzed into my storage area while bleeding out. One exploded setting off a horrible chain reaction of chem fuel and boomalopes exploding. Tried to beat the fire out but 900F temperatures are not great for humans. I basically lost all of my wealth in the fire, and my colonists now have severe burns that are getting infected. All my medicine and food burnt up.
Sigh... this was my best colony yet since the royalty expansion. Been playing strive to survive commitment mode and trying to get to late game. I think what makes this game so addicting is that most of the times my colony has failed it's been completely my fault. So it makes you feel like you need to try again and improve.
