My recycling anxiety has gotten out of control. My county does not recycle #1 plastics. I bring my glass to a facility to drop off. I had Ridwell for 6 months but I cancelled it because I'm already low-income and I worry it just made my recycling anxiety worse. For example- for the week I selected plastic bottle caps for my featured item, I collected them on the 3 day trip out of town and brought them back to add to my bin. I spent $4 per 48 inch light bulb (x 2) as an "add-on" item. I could have purchased new light bulbs for that price. My money anxiety is real too. Thanks for listening. Someday I'll do better responsible recycling with my life, but for now I just want to save money.
