I believed in Richard Heart's HEX promotion and watched most of his podcast shows. I put an entire year of savings into the HEX staking https://go.hex.com/stake/ . I listened to Matti Allen, CryptoCoffee, k4kCrypto, Gerardo, HexSex-ologist and a few others. It turned out that the man was (and still is) having fun and spending the money of lots of investors like me before even launching the chain.
The only hope left for lots of investors is to hope that the worthless double coins(biggest airdrop!) like Ethereum, DAI, USDC, and WBTC will be worth something one day. Basically, Richard Heart is still manipulating people by making them bet on coins that are doomed to be worthless.
Even worse, he is profiting off of users like me who are trying to get out of HEX. The fees to unstake are super high. He mentioned that there would be a fee for unstaking early, but he never mentioned that he would scam people. Richard Heart, you scammed me. I want my money back or you in prison.
Now that he got sued by the SEC, he has become humble, deleted all of his offensive posts on Twitter, and changed his profile photo to a photo where he is the only white guy surrounded by others.
I'm not sure what to make of this. Is he trying to apologize for his past behavior? Or is he just trying to save face? I don't know. But one thing is for sure: he's not the person I thought he was.
I'm sharing my story so that others don't fall for the same scam. If you're thinking about investing in a cryptocurrency, please do your research. Don't just believe what the founder says. And don't put all your eggs in one basket. HEX is NOT the way.
