First reddit post... need help finding a source for term paper due tomorrow

My working thesis is: With this paper I argue that new technologies have created a new rhetorical ethos, which one derives from their digital profile, an ethos that can be attained without significant achievement or intelligence that can be used for social influence on a massive scale.
Has anyone read an article that fits this argument lately? Any help would be appreciated.
edit: Or read a quote from a famous contemporary rhetorician that corroborates this point?
