So , first time for everything , this guy hits me up and says ‘you didn’t pack this correctly and the synth is damaged’ …it was packed 100% in it’s original packaging, foam and all …to the letter ! I ask him HOW was it not packed ‘correctly’ he really had no answer and said ‘well then something gets damaged it’s usually because it wasn’t packaged correctly’….so he basically had no answer to this question …There IS one key busted on the synth ..The box is not damaged , the rest of the synth is pristine , and it does appear to work fine. (He sent pics through the chat documenting the condition and it appears perfect but somehow ONE key is broken ) I have NO idea how this can happen , but he’s demanding a refund etc. So I hit up Reverb and ask them what to do ( cause I honestly have no idea , and almost 10 years of selling on Reverb I’ve never had anything show up damaged) so he’s all pissed I got reverb involved, I ask him is the key the ONLY damage , he says yes…well the key is VERY serviceable and can easily be performed by the end user..(I even send him a link confirming this) I of course offered to send him a new key…he says ‘fine but I want something for my troubles’ …I want at least 100 bucks for wasting my time …(this is all documented in the Reverb chat by the way) at that point I ‘ disengaged’ and letting reverb handle it …What’s the likely outcome or what would be ‘prudent’ for me to do at this point ? Again I have zero experience in handling this type of situation so any feedback is welcome and appreciated …thanks in advance
