I have the first custom parts that were released for the MintyPi 2.0 project from sudomod, and I just never got around to putting them together until a few days ago. I've soldered my pi 0W to the custom button PCB, and attached the screen so I could test it out, but the screen simply won't turn on. I could have sworn I saw it turn on when I first attached it, but I just get nothing now.
This is the first time I've ever soldered, and my soldier iron is a bit too big to fit in the pi 0 pinholes, so it's possible that I've tried my board, I know I left my iron on it for way longer than I should have for a few connections. However, every continuity test I've done seems to be fine.
I think the problem may be with the image on the SD card. I know it has a specific driver for the screen, and a pre setup version of retro game, however neither of these seem to work. Even when I connect my raspberry pi to another monitor, I can't use the button PCB, and there don't seem to be any features from the MintyPi custom image, notably the custom startup screen.
I've tried flashing several different images in different ways, but none of them seem to work. I don't know how I would fix this, and I feel bad asking for a solution to what might be a really vague problem, but I'm kinda stuck here. If anyone can help me out, that would be amazing. Thanks.
