My experience
Post Body

I'm not sure if I am going to keep this short and sweet or if this is going to be a long post...

This happened to me on two occasions, the first was mild, and the second was traumatizing.

First Experience: I couldn't sleep this particular week. I had 15 years of heavy alcoholism under my belt. The last few months I started having episodes where I couldn't sleep or stay asleep.

The experience is time repeating itself.

I made up the bed on our pull out couch, my girlfriend next to me for support. I was hot and cold. Every time I tried to sleep my body felt like it was on fire. The window in the next room was open, and I could hear the noise of the street. Annoyed, I got up and closed it. On the way back I went to the fridge. In the front of the fridge I saw two cans of soda water. I thought to myself "Thats so nice of her to start cooling down some soda water for me." I cracked open the lime-flavored can, and it was too warm still. I put it back next to the grapefruit can which was unopened.

Returning to our couch bed/fort she made a joke in her half asleep state. I laid down and the burning/on fire sensation began. I decided I couldn't stand not sleeping and I was just going to embrace this feeling. As I fell asleep, the fire burning feeling engulfed me and I went into a series of dreams.

There was nothing too weird except for meeting some sort of catlike deity, which was white, and had some kind of amulet around it's neck.

After a while, I woke up to the sound of cars coming through the window. "Why would she open the window?" I got up and closed it. "I guess I'll see if that drink is cold enough now." I look in the fridge and both cans are closed. Confused, I open the can and take a drink. Still warm. I get in bed, she makes the same joke. I ask her why she made the same joke. She's half asleep and doesn't know what I am talking about.

I went to sleep and wondered what happened for a few months. Stay tuned for Pt. 2 - it gets worse.
