Both wife and I experiencing RLS

My wife and I are both simultaneously experiencing a pretty severe bout of rls. Could there ever be environmental factors or weather related triggers, or is it likely just coincidental? It’s come on at the same time and has been experienced by both with equal severity.
Any thoughts or opinions are much appreciated!
