Question about the endings of Re2 and Re3 remake. What happens to the characters or the story after the events of these games? Is it explained in other RE games, or will capcom make a game that continues the story of these remakes?

The only RE game I’ve ever played was RE2 original and RE 7, so I’m not familiar with the lore of the franchise. I’d appreciate any explanation :)
