There is a provision in the CARES act that allows employers to pay $5,250 towards their employees' students loans by the end of 2020. These payments are tax free for both the employee and the employer, and therefore could be a big draw for a hospital, since they can reduce their total taxes.
I'm wondering if anyone has brought this up to administration, or has actually received this. This is probably the closest thing residents/doctors are going to get for hazard pay, so it would definitely be nice to get something.
