hi everyone just trying to grasp other ppls opinion because i’m quite often baffled. I’m baffled that when i tell people im in residency they don’t know what that is? i def don’t wanna come off haughty in this instance, especially as a first gen college student…. but the way i got into medical school in the first place was overuse of the internet and asking questions on SDN.
I’ll be talking to a woman who did attend undergrad but doesn’t know what residency is. idk it’s kinda a turn off because if they don’t know what residency is then how will they know what it’s like to date someone who is THAT busy. especially because i tend to date women that have regular 35-45 hour work weeks. and regardless if they went to undergrad or not, even the average american knows that attorneys need to pass the bar exam….
so from the first week if i have to explain this to them it’s surprising but also makes me wonder if they’d even understand my schedule.
