Post Body

Got a question for my infectious disease colleagues. How often or common place is it to see people with epidural abscess and thoracic wall abscess present without any fever or white count ? Recently saw someone presented with cord compression symptoms so the epidural was found easily. It's the thoracic wall abscess that was found as incidental as patient had no symptoms of chest pain or respiratory issues so made me think how commonly we see people present with these? Comorbidities were Diabetes but otherwise a functional 50ish years old person..
