G'day repcunts,

Finally, my i10's arrived from Aliexpress and I can compare them against the Supercopies I got from Tony yesterday. Both of which will be compared to my retails. Let's get started!

TONY'S SUPERCOPIES V2 - 8.5/10

Price - $70USD Shipped

As this was one of the cheaper supercopies I've seen, and from a seller I've been wanting to check out myself, I had to pull the trigger and try these out. Other sellers are selling this same batch for $80USD.

Service - 8/10

His Yupoo features everything he has for sale - Then you contact him using either Skype/Whatsapp/Telegram/Email - It took a few hours for the first response but once we started talking it was very smooth sailing and faster replies.

Tony seems pretty knowledgable although hesitant to reveal any info surrounding what batch this is, just that this is his best version.

He has a range of payment methods, including PayPal.

Shipping - 8/10

No additional cost to ship with EMS - To Perth, Australia it took 8 Days but would have been less if it weren't for ANZAC Day (Public holiday). Can pay extra for DHL which ships within 2-3 days.

Accuracy - 9/10

Wow. With nearly identical dimensions, the only way I could tell these apart from the retails was by weight and the text underneath the lid.

Retails weigh 8g (My scales were flickering between 7 and 8g but the Apple site says 8g) whilst Tony's weigh 4, and for better or for worse you can notice this difference.

The case is also a lot lighter and the lid doesn't have that same snap when you close it like the retails do (sounds stupid but it's a big tell).

Connecting to an iPhone does show the animation and the battery levels, not sure if they are accurate yet as my s/o is the one with the iPhone. The connection name comes up as "Airpods".

Finally, these work on a left-airpod priority basis, in that the left is the main connection which the right one then pairs to. Once turned on they will individually say "Connected" then respectively mention either "Left channel" or "Right channel" - All done in a fairly neutral voice.

Having mentioned these flaws I still think it's 9/10 due to the aesthetic accuracy but maybe that's just from my experience with replica shoes.

Quality 8/10

If Airpods were a 10, then these reps would be a 9. The base is great but there's slightly too much warmth across the mids, and the highs can feel steely at times. Airpods aren't for audiophiles, they're a lifestyle pick for their convenience and aesthetic, and in this regard, these reps fit the bill and sound good enough for working out, studying or walking across campus. Plus, I feel like messing with the EQ will fix the warmth but I'm yet to try it.

Touch controls work pretty well but no volume control as far as I'm aware.

Fake Aliexpress i10's - 7/10

Now I say fake because they aren't the OG i10's but I'm still reviewing them on their own merit.

Price - $23USD (Regularly go on sale for around $19USD)

These were bought before it was known that fakes existed so you might be able to find something better for a similar price. However, on sale these are a damn good choice and I highly recommend them for the price.

Service - 9/10

No contact with the seller but I selected this store based on the number of reviews and ratings and was optimistic the order would be fine, and it was.

Shipping - 5/10

Son of a bitch took over 3 weeks to arrive, packaged in a thin plastic envelope. They did give me a lanyard though so...

Accuracy - 7/10

Obviously, the case is the biggest callout, having the collum of LED lights on the front and being a bit bigger, but the individual pods are also a bit too long when compared against the retails.

What this batch does right though is not having the LED lights on the individual pods and using a lightning connector over mini-usb.

When connecting, there is a lovely oriental lady with a damn fucking lisp that says "Power on - Connected - Stheam Sthuccessful". Again, this rep uses the same left-airpod priority and won't work without the left pod.

Quality - 7/10

Comparing these with the supercopies there is a big difference in the volume where these reps have a much softer quality to them. Weighty base, warm mids and a soft highs, more resolution is needed but I believe this can also be fixed in the EQ. The volume may be an issue for some though.

They advertise as having Bluetooth 5.0, touch controls, better battery and audio, and even wireless charging - I don't have the og i10's so I can't compare the audio, and I can't check on the Bluetooth version, but everything else seems accurate - including the wireless charging.

There is no mesh on the microphone which might impact voice quality but I haven't tested it.

So that's that, I hope this helps some of you pull the trigger. I personally think both of these reps are worth it and wouldn't hesitate to use these sellers again.
