Although I have too many watches and not enough time, I am thinking about doing a 1655 build here soon. Looking for some information.

First off anyone have a good example they are considering parting with, doesn't need to be a build - nor a mod just one I can buy to see if the watch suits me.

I really like Rolex utilitarian watches, datejusts although nice, do not do anything for me since Im in the field as opposed to the boardroom. Not to mention there isnt a watch yet called the Bernie Maddoff or Jeff Skilling. The coolest watches all have cool names by the people that wore them. For example- Hunter S Thompson Richard Petty Paul Newman James Bond Just to name a few.

What I would like to know what factory, if any makes the best 1655 that I can start modding ( I would do most likely a domed crystal new dial new hands to start of course with aging all these along with the insert. )

Just give me your flat out opinion of this watch. Maybe I'm here to start a conversation instead.
