Post Body

So, this is our first time renting and things have been up and down. I'm in S.C., early march our Ac unit/heater stopped working, so I took a few days and tried the tips and such to fix it, nothing worked. So, I summited a repair order which is covered under my lease and it took them over a week to respond and 2 days to get out here to check it out. When they came out, I was told our unit is from the year 1981 and hasn't been serviced since 2009. So they said they would replace it, that was over 2 weeks ago. So, we've been without Ac and heat for over a month and a half. There have been nights that have gotten down to the low 30's and we have a 5-month-old as well as not getting into the warmer days and nights we sweat at night. The new unit should be here tomorrow for installation but my question is, is there any way I could ask for a discount on our rent since it's $1005 a month and we've been without Ac and heat for this long?
