Post Body

So, I received a text from my landlord today about a noise complaint from the neighbor. He said that the neighbor claimed that my (new) dog “barked all night long” and they sent an audio file(which I haven’t heard). This caused a double issue because I had not told my landlord about the dog, yet. I had every intention of telling him today, as we got the dog this weekend, and we hadn’t even decided if the dog was going to work out. The landlord doesn’t have an issue with us having a dog as an ESA, but of course didn’t like finding out about it this way, and has expressed concern about noise moving forward.

The thing about the neighbor’s complaint is that He definitely did NOT bark all night long. He is in a crate, in my room at night, and I am a light sleeper. He barked three times last night, at my cat(which the landlord knows about as well). And he barked at the neighbor’s dog around 10pm when we took him outside.

Now, I left this morning to a doctor appointment from around 8am-10:30 am, and it’s possible(even likely) that the dog barked a lot during that time, but that is a far cry from “all night long”.

Are daytime noise complaints even an issue? I don’t leave the house often, so this isn’t likely to be an issue often, but he doesn’t like to be alone in his crate.
