How often should I be bugging my landlord?
Post Body

-[TX] (sorry didn’t see that I should add it to the title) When we moved in we discovered quite a few issues, this place had clearly not been taken care of by previous Tenants and was not really move-in ready (it was dirty, cigarette buds all along the porch, floor dirty, broken glass from a light bulb in the bathroom, ect) the two big remaining ones are:

  1. The stove doesn’t work(like it will turn on but not get hot enough to boil water)

And 2. The back fence is completely overgrown with vines and branches, and among these is a good amount of poison ivy. We are responsible for maintaining the yard, but this was obviously caused by lots of neglect and we asked that he please have it taken care of once and we will maintain it moving forward, he agreed to this.

I let the landlord know about the stove, he sent his guy over, who said he needed to order a replacement, this was August 22.

They also sent someone by to look at the back yard, they were supposed to come back on August 23, but he told me that they had an emergency and had to cancel the appointment, I haven’t heard anything since

How often should I be bugging him about these things? I have young children, the poison ivy really bothers me, and not being able to cook is annoying, (though I do have an instant pot and air frier, so I’m still able to cook, just differently).
