If you read the previous post; hi this is sort of an update.

If you didn’t basically im moving across the US from IL to NJ for school and was supposed to have an apartment. I applied and said I needed it by 08/01, a month to get myself settled. The approved me and sent a lease stating September 1st. School starts September 2nd. It would be a bit of a time crunch; but doable esp at the price to I sign the lease.

So then all this text happens and it’s not ready, im leaving to Jersey in about 11 hours, and I have no place to stay and im gonna have to live in my car and buy a storage unit for my stuff when I get there. I reached out to my lab PI Thursday and she said she’d contact the dean of students but since it’s Labor Day weekend I most likely won’t get a reply back. But she said she put it in as an urgent message for maybe temporary housing. Hopefully I get lucky, but as of right now im beyond stressed and this completely sucks. I also found a different place said I can move in the next day. But the lease states I can’t break it till September 11th or they keep my deposit and I can’t lose that and risk signing 2 leases and then my apartment gets ready (even though I know it won’t.) what a clusterfuck.

Notes: I do not care in the slightest if I am annoying or gonna be a terrible tenant. I upheld my part of the lease so far and this isn’t my screw up it’s theirs. It has a BIG consequence on me. I’m gonna have to get a gym membership to shower.
