So I just received a $300 electric bill for an apartment that I haven’t stayed in for 2 months now.
I was moving out of my apartment in 2022 All of my rent, electric bill, renters insurance excluding the internet bill ended on the day I had to turn my keys in. I soon get another apartment in 2023, pretty much repeated the same steps then moved out on the 28th of December 2023. I payed the electric bill on the app thinking it would be the last of it, as it said the exact disconnecting day of the date I was moving out, and it was a little more than usual so I payed for it think of it as a disconnecting fee. Payed $580 on Jan 6 I just moved in with my fiancé due to how close we were to her job. It’s been 2 months since Ive moved in and I receive an email about an overdue electric bill.
I called the services told them the issue and was told that my service is closed now and I should receive a bill through email. I don’t want to necessarily lose $300, but I also don’t to lose my credit score progress.
