In early December, I got a letter from my landlord stating that my lease is expiring, and when I spoke to her about a renewal she said she gave me the letter because she doesn’t want me to renew. And honestly that’s all for the best because the way this woman ran this place was a fucking joke.
When I wrote a check for my rent, and it didn’t process because of issues with the bank, instead of telling me what happened, she had her secretary accuse me of forgery, and threatened to evict me. She also has threatened to evict me on several occasions, for the simple fact that I am not a good housekeeper.
Well today I let my renters insurance policy expire because what’s the point I have to move at the end of the month, And I got another eviction notice. Stating that I am in violation of my lease (Which expires in 30 days) because I let my renters insurance expire. At this point I honestly don’t know what the big deal is and honestly I don’t care. She has unfairly targeted me for several months, and at this point, I am just completely apathetic to it.
So AITA for being apathetic to her or should I renew for the month and get it over with?
