Post Body

Hey all. I’m renovating my garage into a living space and the attic above for more storage. The attic has a pull down access ladder. The attic is split with this sturdy half wall and over half is unfinished. Can I remove sections so I can access the other half of the attic space? The studs aren’t from floor to roof in a direct line but someone went through a lot of work to make the wall with two sides and blocking. I’m just not sure if it’s load bearing or impacts of removing 1-2 sections for access. The goal is to just insulate the floor (because if the intended living space under) and put in plywood floor beyond the current attic area to store boxes. Thanks!
