How does a Woman Learn ACTUAL Costs?
Post Flair (click to view more posts with a particular flair)
Post Body
There's no secret that women are charged more. And prices change drastically from even city to city.
I have a few large projects I need to undergo:
- Need to get a rough-in done for the unfinished basement. Concrete is poured but no rough-in
- Need to fix the main water supply. It's just done stupidly. A foot and a half from the wall at a bizarre angle and direction, I would need to basically box it in.
- Need more electrical outlets in a few rooms (three floors to contend with) - I do have more breakers available
How do I go about getting quotes that I can actually trust - and people I can trust? I absolutely refuse to have the wool pulled over my eyes or have a bad contractor - but I am VERY hesitant to start saving without an idea of what I'm going for, and am nervous at how unreliable contractors seem to be.
