Inpatient Mental Health
Post Body

Edit: Update the court is holding him in jail on a small bail that he can’t pay and are having him evaluated by a Dr and are going to try and move him to mental health court. Hopefully there we will have some support and help to care for him.

Thank you for all the advice.

We are new to Reno. Have an adult son that we care for because his severe bipolar schizophrenia prevents him from being able to care for himself.

His MH has decided to the point we had to have him arrested out of fear for our safety.

Are there any inpatient MH hospitals in the area that are taking patients? Please share any resources as he will likely be released on OR and aside from us he has no where to go and we don’t feel save taking him back until he gets the help he needs
