I was looking up the incentives offered by my state, and looking at how easy it is to build your own wind turbine (the generator part is where I'll have trouble) and how Solar would be a good supplement to our current power needs.
Few questions though, Aside from initial costs of purchasing materials, does it actually cost money to have solar and wind set up on your house? Illinois isn't great for solar, but that's why I'm thinking a combo of wind and solar.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated, especially when it comes to buying and using solar panels.
Thanks everyone!
