need help, nvl text is centered?

hi, so i literally have no idea how to fix this (probably) really obvious thing. For some reason my NVL text is centered in the middle of the screen. I've tried tinkering with the xpos of dialogue text, tried tinkering with making the narrator left aligned, to no avail. am i just overlooking something? thanks.
