$12k, Was this a good deal?

My mom, despite my warnings that she was getting ripped off, decided to get a soaking bathtub installed by a company. She ended up paying about $12k for the company to remove the old bathtub and install this soaking tub along with the wall coverings and fixtures. It took two guys, two days to do the demo and install. I was thinking that this was a $6-7k job given the quick timeframe.
