External Drive For Files + Database - Exfat Ok? MBR the way?

Post Body

I'm preparing a 2TB Samsung T7 Shield to be my primary external Rekordbox drive for both my music and my database.

I understand that if I want to play on CDJ's or some-such I will have to export playlists to a thumb drive etc.

I also understand that making backups regularly is a must. I take data redundancy seriously.

My question is, in this day and age, is exFat MBR the way to go, or should I really try this round-a-bout way of getting a larger drive (2TB) formatted as a giant FAT32 volume using some of the workarounds? If exFAT is slowly becoming more and more accepted I would prefer to go that route understanding that it might create the occasional hiccup.

I have a similar type of question about MBR vs GUID. It seems like MBR is still what's regarded as standard for DJ software. Do we ever see GUID coming into play, or should I just disregard it currently and roll with MBR?
