I have been thinking about what exactly sola fide means, and in particular how it relates to those who aren't reformed. Chapter XI of the WCF says
Faith, thus receiving and resting on Christ and His righteousness, is the alone instrument of justification
and Chapter XIV of the WCF seems to give a succint definition of faith:
But the principal acts of saving faith are accepting, receiving, and resting upon Christ alone for justification, sanctification, and eternal life, by virtue of the covenant of grace.
These two passages seem to give a fairly straightforward starting definition for sola fide. My question is this: given this definition as a starting point, do you believe that it is possible to have saving faith while rejecting sola fide?
