How to approach a synagogue about joining the congregation?
Post Body

I’ve been thinking about going back to my faith for around a year now (raised Jewish but haven’t been in a synagogue since my Bat Mitzvah) and I finally decided that Reconstructionist fits best for my beliefs. Luckily there is a Reconstructionist synagogue in my city and from what I see on their website I really like them.

The problem is that I emailed their general info email about two weeks ago and haven’t heard back. I basically told them what I said above. I’ve never belonged to a synagogue as an adult so I have no idea how to actually join. Should I reach out to the rabbi directly? Try to find a phone number to call? I’m Autistic and horribly awkward with this sorts of stuff so I would appreciate any guidance!
