U10 rules question

My league does not allow punt/drop kicks for U10.
Yesterday I had a keeper drop the ball then his teammate kicked it like a drop kick I allowed it because the keeper did not do the dropkick, but the parents and other coach gave me hell for it.
Do you guys think I am right or wrong for not calling it as a dropkick?
