So I stupidly forgot to order more sand when moving our 40 gal tank to the new house. We set it up bare bottom for now since we weren't able to get more sand today and I didn't want to use the old sand. How challenging will it be to add sand later? I remember it took almost two days to totally clear up when we first set up the tank, and I worry that would be bad for our livestock.

Any suggestions? My husband's not on board with upgrading to a bigger tank when the sand comes in lol so we'd be looking to keep the livestock in the tank while adding sand.
