Reef tank Dino out break v2
Post Body

Hello yall just wanted to post some info and spread word and see if anyone has any advice. Had a Dino outbreak that between the Dino’s and medication killed 95% of my reef tank. Got 1 coral left I care about (bubble coral). Long story short for the first out break about a year ago I dosed Dino x and killed lights for 5 days and it solved the problem but at a great cost of my corals. Now here we are a year later and I just moved and about a month after I moved another outbreak started this time I caught it early. Due to past experience I got a positive ID as Dino’s due to their disappearance at night when I shine with a flash light. During the day the sand is brown/red. It’s only on the sand at the moment but this is the exact same strain I had as before. My theory is something in the move process brought it back. I did as follows all corals were in buckets with aeroators aswell as fish. Tank kept 3 inches of water to keep substrate submerged. Rocks and structure was kept in big cooler with the remaining ammount of tank water. 2 weeks later a water change. Didn’t lose any fish or corals in the move.

Back to the Dino’s….. I noticed it a day or two ago and gave it time to be sure and yes I’m 100% it’s Dino’s. So I dosed 2.5 ml for 26 gallons which is half the recommended dose and blacked out the tank starting today. Will update as it progresses.
