Hi Reefers,
I have been battling Cyanobacteria for months now. Please see pictures of tank and microscope pictures
Here are my parameters measured this morning.
Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 5 Phosphate 0.00 PH 8.2
It used to be manageable, until all my GSP do not come out anymore, and my torches, hammers, and anemones are shrunk throughout the day. The fishes are fine.
Since the discovery of Cyano, i have tried many things, including,
shortening the light schedule to 1-8-1.
measure PAR to make sure my light isn't too strong. it measured 50~150 from bottom to top.
Applied chemiclean and siphon out/carboned out after 3 days. This did resolve it, but it quickly came back within 2 days. I have since then tried redosing chemiclean, and didn't see any results even 3 days after dosing.
I realize that my phosphate is bottomed out, and I have been dosing Neophos without any measureable change according to Hanna LR checker
Dosing microbacteria 7
I need some guidance on what to do next. Should I give up on chemiclean and just try to continue adjusting phosphate? I don't want to overdose phosphate? Looking forward to any tips. Thank you.
