Hypothetical: What would a mini-campaign in a legit Halo game based on RvB be like?

Like, it can either be a non-canon clusterfuck featuring our favorite characters for shits and giggles, or it can genuinely try and add to the RvB world and continuity while still being a fun experience.
As someone who's not played a lot of Halo I have no idea how this could work, but for those who have, what kind of things could they do to pull this off?
