Considering how diverse/different all three seasons ended up being in terms of both focus and execution, this wasn't an easy pick compared to something like Chorus which was a little more unified between its parts.
For instance, Grif was great in Season 15, but he faltered a bit in 16 and wasn't too remarkable in 17.
On the other side of the spectrum, I quite like how Donut turned out in Season 17 but his prior seasons building up to it didn't feel like anything special to me.
I absolutely loved Doc in Season 16, and Season 17 felt like a pretty good extension of that, but his Season 15 arc felt lacking to say the least especially since it doesn't remotely relate to his later high points at all.
Washington was always kind of a sideshow character in 15, but how that plays into his roles in 16 and 17 are some of the most engaging parts of the story. Same with Carolina in direct relation to Washington.
Caboose is probably the most consistently good character (when is he ever not), but that also has a lot to do with his involvement and development being in more bite-sized doses. Sister was never a dull moment once she got back too, despite also never being a particularly focal part of the narrative.
And this isn't even considering any new characters that are introduced in these three seasons.
As is I'm kind of undecided, each choice seems to have its own set of pros and cons to them, so what would you guys say now that you've seen the whole thing play out?
