Nervous About Recovery

Post Body

Hi guys! My surgery is 12/1 and I’m so excited, but truthfully a bit nervous about the recovery. I’m stubbornly independent and worried about how long I’ll be completely useless after surgery, then how long it’ll be before I don’t need any help.

Can anyone share some insight on like how long before they could easily go up/down stairs, put their arms above their head, do their own hair? I cook a lot, and I’m worried that’ll be something I have to give up. I have a smedium dog and I’m not toooo stressed about her laying on or bumping into my chest, but will I be able to walk her? Like if she yanks on her leash will I be in pain or at risk?

Bonus points to anyone who also gave up yoga/Pilates to have your surgery and can tell me how long before they could comfortably go back 100%

Thanks I’m advance sorry for the small panic
