Will you buy your title or grow it?
If grow it then KEEP your stars and pay them. Don't pinch just to avoid it. You need a star player, a few big contracts, mids and then smaller complimentary ones. Actually invest in your team, their health and making your weaknesses less glaring.
If your rotation isn't great, make sure your bullpin is. If your OF is defensive with weak bats, make sure you have good hitters on the infield.
