Best fish to put in my guys tank
Post Body

Okay so tomorrow I’m doing a whole basking loft diy project since he’s too big for the floating dock and this way I can add more water. I figured I might as well go all out in arranging some of his river rocks over what I think is supposed to be a basking spot for smaller turtles but it’s from petco so no it’s not. He uses it to step onto the current basking spot but since I’m throwing that out I figured I’d repurpose it since once it’s covered w the rocks it’ll be a nice little cave he can’t access. I’m also reading my old gravel but making it compact and putting under the river rocks (always used to catch him eating them as a kid they are real small so he always passed them but why take the risk) just so I can hold down some aquatic plants. He refuses to eat anything green so hopefully he will leave them alone and fish can hide in there. He’s never lived with another living creature sometimes I feed him excess crickets from my gecko bc petco always gives too many crickets and he lets none of them live. I don’t wanna send fish to certain death but he’s too energetic and he refuses to play with any turtle toys I get him. I figure this is something he can chase around while he’s swimming but I want them to be fast enough to make it to the cave if he goes after them. Sorry for the rant but wanted to paint a picture. Any suggestions?
