Kramer and Newman discover Tinder and are experimenting with ways to look better in pictures to attract more women. They're using Jerry's apartment to pose in because they agreed Jerry has fantastic taste in furniture and are more likely to capture women that way. Jerry comes home and they proceed to tell him how Tinder works.
Kramer: There are girls just waiting for you to swipe right, Jerry! All you gotta do is swipe right!
Jerry: Swipe right? What is that, some kind of new dance move?
Kramer: No, no, no, it's the best thing that's happened to the cell phone since detaching from a car!
It's Tinder!
Newman: (suggestive eyebrows) Tinder-iffic.
Jerry: Listen to yourselves, what does that even mean?
Kramer: Who cares what it means, Jerry! It's time to meet singles in your area! This is the FUTURE, Jerry!
Jerry: But half the fun of meeting people is meeting them in person! You get to see how tall
they are, how much they weigh, what kind of clothes they like - you find out right away
if your jokes fly with them or not! If I'm gonna talk to someone, I want to make SURE it's
someone I wanna talk to!
Kramer: But that's the GOOD part, Jerry! You can take flattering pictures of yourself
and catch good-looking ladies without even trying! Look at this picture I just took
of Newman! (Shows Jerry a picture on his phone)
Jerry: That's...disturbing. On many, many levels.
Newman: Yeah, well your lighting in here isn't very good. What are those, florescent bulbs?
Haven't you heard of LEDs? Much more flattering on the complexion. We ship them by the dozen at work.
Jerry: Work, huh? Say, isn't that where you should be now, *Newman*?
Newman: Aw, cripes! I'm gonna be late to deliver! Or maybe...the letters will
mysteriously get lost in the mail again...*laughs maniacally and leaves*
Kramer: Even guys like him have hope with Tinder, Jerry.
Jerry: That really *is* something.
Later, George meets a girl that he swiped right on Tinder. They begin talking and find they have a lot in common, but when George meets her in person, he discovers she's much taller than him and has insecurities about a delightful person like her having any interest in him at all. George meets Elaine and Jerry at their favorite cafe.
George: Why would she be interested in me, Jerry? What could I possibly have to offer her? Look at me!
Jerry: Oh, I am.
George: Exactly! I'm honest to myself, Jerry, and this girl, so beautiful and well-rounded,
acting as though I'm pleasant to be around? What's wrong with her?
Elaine: Have you thought that she might just, I don't know, *like* you?
George: LOOK at me, Elaine!
Elaine: Yeah, you're right. (beat) At least you didn't accidentally swipe right on an old high-school teacher.
I really need to adjust the age limits on my restrictions.
Jerry: You can set the age limit? What is this, a vending machine for singles in my area?
Elaine: Have you still not tried it yet?
Jerry: No! Something about it just feels off to me. What are people using this app for if not to just
butt into your life and disappear again? Do you think any of them actually have any good intentions?
I mean, look at you guys, what do you have to offer these people looking for love by taking one glance
at each other and sliding right?
George: Swiping right.
Jerry: Whatever! What happened to the good old days, where if you saw someone you weren't
interested in, you simply ignored them? Why does the swiping have to be added? What's
with the swiping? What has swiping done for me, or any of us? It's brought YOU a perfect woman
you can't stand and reunited YOU with your weird science teacher from high school you can't stop
complaining about. Swiping's not for me, I live a no-swipe life, thank you very much. No one on there
has got anything to actually offer anyone.
Kramer: (bursts through the door and slides into the cafe) Jerry! I found a twin in my area, Jerry!
A TWIN, Jerry!
Jerry: (gestures to Kramer) Exhibit A. Is that someone you wanna swipe right?
George and Elaine grunt in agreement and give a non-committal nod.
Kramer: Oh, I got swiped, Jerry. I. Got. Swiped. Right.
...Or something like that.
