Since the number of players using Windows 8 is growing, post here with your problems and solutions and I'll add them to this post and the wiki when I get around to it.

Make sure to open the launcher and/or ragnarok with administrator permissions.

If you are having problems with resolution, try:

Open your <redditro>/savedata/OptionInfo.lua in notepad and either find or add these lines to it

OptionInfoList["ISFULLSCREENMODE"] = 0 or 1
OptionInfoList["WIDTH"] = xxxx
OptionInfoList["HEIGHT"] = yyyy

replace the xxxx and yyyy with your desired screen resolution, ISFULLSCREENMODE 0 is windowed, 1 is full screen.

You can also try ROExt. Apparently it fixes Windows 8 problems.
