Hello and welcome to the 2016 RNHL Entry Draft!

We've got an outstanding 128 rookies looking to be drafted to an RNHL team so without further ado, lets get the 2016 RNHL Entry Draft started!

Coverage of the Top 5 picks of the 1st round will be added as edits below. Once the 1st round is complete I will post a link to the google doc which will show the remaining 3 rounds of the draft!

As per yesterdays post, each team gets 1 draft pick per round following the same order each round. For the final round, we will follow the same order until there are no more rookies to be drafted!

EDIT 1: The Montreal Canadiens are on the clock with the first ever RNHL Draft Pick..........AND THE PICK IS IN!

EDIT 2: The Montreal Canadiens can announce that with their 1st overall pick they have selected........../u/vjbaiocco! The defenseman is the first ever draftee in the RNHL and joins the Habs!

EDIT 3: Edmonton are on the clock with their 2nd overall pick!

EDIT 4: Edmonton Oilers are proud to announce that with their 2nd overall pick they have selected........./u/Stafpaper! 2 defenseman take the top 2 spots in the draft!

EDIT 5: 3rd overall to be chosen by the Carolina Hurricanes and they've stopped the clock! The 3rd overall pick for the Entry Draft is........../u/Tarquin11! Carolina take the first forward of the Draft!

EDIT 6: It's the Minnesota Wild with the 4th overall pick and they seem to be taking their time here. Perhaps one of their choices has been taken in the top 3?

EDIT 7: The Wild have used most of their clock time but the pick is in! 4th overall and heading to Minnesota is /u/Gordiehoweyoudoin! Another defenseman! Seems that the RNHL teams are keen to bolster their D this season!
