Hey, ladies. Can I get your opinions on acrylic vs gel nail extensions?

After years of trying every supplement, cream, and nail hardener that's ever been suggested, I've come to the conclusions that my nails will always be too weak to actually grow out. So, if I want to have long pretty nails, extensions are just something I'm going to need to do.

I've had acrylics in the past and they were ok. They were always really thick, no matter where I went to get them done, and I wasn't a huge fan of the lines that would appear in my nails as they grew out and had to be refilled.

I know you can get gel extensions, but I don't know how they differ or if they would be worth the price increase from just acrylics. Also, how damaging are gel extensions to your nails compared to acrylics?
