Help! How to regain nail strength?

The first photo is my nails in Jan 2023 — long and strong and so fun to decorate! Since then, they’ve become brittle and weak, breaking and splitting (into layers like shale?) have forced me to keep them brutally short, like the second pic from today. Does anyone have tips for how to regain strength :(?
