Pictured: 2 coats OPI Nail Envy, 2 coats Zoya Hermina, 1 coat Vibrant Scents Fast & Hard Naughty & Spice (Dec 2023 PPU). Apologies for the claw pose and dry cuticals (I promise I applied jojoba oil right after taking this!)

I'm pretty new to the La[c]querista lifestyle, I picked up the hobby while recovering from surgery early fall this year, and only discovered this subreddit (and unlocked my obsession) about two months ago. Since then, my polish collection has EXPLODED, especially after asking for new polishes for most gifts for my birthday in late November as well as Christmas.

Recently, I've been changing my nail polish every few days, but with my holiday haul I feel like I could easily change the color daily. Mainly, I wanted to check in for advice to see if I'm hurting my long-term nail growth goals by removing and reapplying polish so frequently, as despite my best attempts, I've still suffered a lot of breakages these last few weeks. I'm using Nail Envy as my base coat every time, apply jojoba oil as often as I can remember, and only use glass files now.

Also would appreciate any advice for someone building a collection and trying to grow their nails for the first time!

Just popping in to say go crazy with it but please remember to paint in a well-ventilated area, ideally with a window open to protect yourself and your home from the fumes as much as possible 🤗
