Why are my cuticles always dry and peeling?

I try to keep my hands moisturized but my cuticles are still very dry. I try to use cuticle oil, but I’ll admit that I’m not great about that because I can’t stand how greasy my hands feel. Does anyone know of a cuticle cream or something that is less greasy?
