We've watched movies about people in low-skilled jobs where their bosses shout at them etc. Now, are there any movies or shows about people in high-powered career jobs where the main character bought all the hype of getting their first 100K job as a broke university graduate until they've lived through a corporate environment for a few years and realised how meaningless it all is, the status meetings, the boardroom profit reports, meeting quarterly targets, corporate speak team-building exercises and all that?
Except for Office Space, I've watched that already.

I second this. I worked in Japan for a time and this show is spookily/hilariously accurate to what itβs like.
And this is more for OP to know but the way Retsuko (the protagonist) copes with the drudgery of her job is with death metal karaoke.
