A summery of the Sentinelese people.
Post Body

The Sentinelese are an indigenous people of the Andaman Islands, in the Bay of Bengal who are considered to live as people lived 15000 year ago as hunter/gatherers who have crude spears and bows, although in later years they have salvaged iron from shipwrecks to make arrows. They inhabit North Sentinel Island and are known to be one of the last isolated people in the world that act extremely violent and territorial. However this is not completely true as several Indian expeditions in modern time have been able to contact them and they have even been welcomed in later years.

The island was first recorded by the British in 1771 and was a source of myths of cannibalism, although anthropologists don't think that these claims are true, they do however like to wear a jawbone of their favorite (deceased) relative around their neck. The people have suffered kidnappings and battles from shipwreck survivors and explorers.

The Sentinelese songs have only two tones, and they don't have writing or art, they do however use body paint in okra and white to draw wiggly smiles on their bodies.

Something really curious about the people is their greeting tradition, in which you sit in a friend's lap and slap your right buttock vigorously.

Lastly I'd like to end with linking some pictures and a video of them.
