For the longest time I have observed that for many men the more taboo the fetish is FOR THEM, the hotter it is. So, someone who feels that homosexuality is a sin, or dressing in feminine clothes is wrong, or anal sex is filthy, or eating their own cum is dirty, will be more aroused by that thing.
I wonder though, how conscious are people of this love on kinky taboo? How much discomfort does this cause the person in their everyday life?
It's been the opposite for me.
The more I've been able to deprogram myself from the stigmatization of my kinks, the more I've been able to enjoy them, and the more pleasure I find in doing so. My "darker" kinks are things I wasn't even comfortable exploring when they were still taboo in my mind. In fact, I'm pretty sure past me said some pretty ignorant and hurtful things about present me.
Taboo is, itself, a category of kink. Some people are drawn to that which they consider taboo. Some of those individuals express that predilection through kink. And some of those who do so will find that their enjoyment correlates with how taboo they consider the activity. But that's a subset of a subset of all kinky people, and I'd honestly be surprised if it represented even a sizable plurality, let alone many/most.
